IT System Administrator @ iKomet

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator to manage and support our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in system administration, networking, firewalls, and security. Knowledge in DevOps practices, cloud services preferably GCP, cloud security, and network security will be a strong added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, network systems, and security infrastructure.
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and network security devices.
Implement and enforce security best practices for both on-premise and cloud environments.
Support and maintain cloud services, focusing on preferably GCP or other cloud infrastructure and security.
Collaborate with teams for automation, deployments, and system optimization.
Ensure regular system backups, patch updates, and disaster recovery readiness.
Manage IT policies, asset tracking, and access controls.

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in Windows/Linux system administration.
Deep understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP) and network security.
Hands-on experience with firewall management (Fortinet, Fortigate, Cisco, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, Azure,AWS, including cloud security practices.
Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to handle incidents proactively.
