Job Description
What You'll Do
- Visual Design: Develop high-quality UI designs, design systems, and component libraries that scale across products and platforms
- Design Consistency: Establish and maintain visual design guidelines that reflect our brand, ensuring a cohesive experience across all user touchpoints.
- Concept to Execution: Translate product requirements and concepts into intuitive, delightful user interfacesfrom user flows to wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, product managers, and content teams to ensure feasibility and quality of implementation.
- Design for Impact: Design interfaces that support engaging, accessible experiences for young learnersbalancing usability, aesthetics, and joy.
- Feedback Loops: Actively participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to continually elevate design quality.
- Design for Delight: Since the product is for K-12 learners, it must be designed to provide delight and joy for young learners.
- Original Thinking: Go beyond standard UI paradigms to craft playful and effective interfaces for learners.
Who We Are Looking For
- 3-4 years of experience in UI or digital product design, with a proven track record of shipped products.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing excellent UI design skills across responsive web and mobile applications.
- Experience working on B2C or B2B SaaS platforms; EdTech experience is a plus.
- Mastery of design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
- A strong eye for layout, typography, color theory, and interactive states.
- A belief that content is design.
- Experience working within or building a design system.
- A deep understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive UI design.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first team.
