Position Summary
Role: Service Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Chennai
Experience: 6 to 8 Years
Industry: Machine tool
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Employment Type: Permanent
Skills Required:
Hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of HBM, VTC, HMC, and SPM machines
Ability to work in Siemens and Fanuc controls
Understanding and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, and hydraulic circuits
Basic knowledge of I/O signal troubleshooting, electrical circuits, and PLCs
Experience in handling machine preventive maintenance (PM) and health check-ups
Basic Knowledge of machine retrofitting and refurbishment
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Strong time management and organizational skills
Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to service and troubleshooting
Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
Duties And Responsibilities
Carry out service activities and site project erection/commissioning
Handle refurbishment and retrofit activities
Provide technical support to customers
Onsite diagnostics and attend service calls
Be available to travel within India and abroad
Identify opportunities for spare parts sales
Ensure compliance with Fives safety standards
