Job Description
BIW Welding Fixture/Gripper Conceptual Design, BIW simulation/ Design Validation Review, 3D and 2D detailing, Manufacturing Drawings BOM, Quality Checking Assurance, Knowledge on US/European Automotive Standards (OEM standards)Fixture Design:Design and develop BIW fixtures for automotive body components based on engineering specifications.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., CATIA, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of fixtures.
Collaboration:Work closely with the engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and design constraints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of fixtures into the production process.
Prototyping and Testing:Create prototypes of fixtures for testing and validation purposes.
Conduct testing and analysis to ensure fixtures meet performance and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for improvement in fixture design processes.
Implement design modifications based on feedback and lessons learned from previous projects.
Cost Optimization:Work to optimize fixture designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality or functionality.
Collaborate with procurement to select cost-effective materials and components.
Documentation:Prepare detailed documentation, including design specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions.
Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates.
Quality Assurance:Ensure that fixture designs comply with industry standards and quality requirements.
Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues and improve design reliability."
