Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Software Engineer II to join our development team at Surgical Information Systems working on our Surgical Notes applications. This mid-level position is ideal for candidates with solid experience in C#, SQL, and React, and a desire to contribute to both legacy and modern web/web form application development. Familiarity with WebForms is a plus as we maintain and gradually modernize parts of our legacy application stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C# and React.


• Write and optimize queries and stored procedures using SQL Server.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.


• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high-quality code.


• Maintain and support existing applications, including those built with ASP.NET WebForms.


• Identify areas for improvement in software architecture and contribute to refactoring efforts.


• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend practical applications to enhance the teams productivity and product capabilities.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.


• Proficiency with C# and the .NET Framework/Core.


• Strong understanding of SQL Server, relational database design, and performance tuning.


• Hands-on experience developing front-end applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.


• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).


• Understanding of RESTful APIs and modern web service development.


• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred:

• Experience maintaining or migrating applications built with ASP.NET WebForms.


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
