Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Science, Engineering, or Business (background in Chemical/Metallurgy/Materials is a plus)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Leader/Head to spearhead the commercial growth of our QC Lab Business. This role will involve identifying and building strategic B2B partnerships with battery manufacturers, metal refiners, e-waste recyclers, mining companies, and chemical processors who require high-quality mineral testing and analytical services.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement a robust B2B sales strategy for QC and analytical testing services targeting critical minerals, battery materials (e.g., Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel), and precious metals.
- Identify new clients and industry segments for the labs services including mining, battery manufacturing, chemical refining, and recycling.
- Drive revenue growth through proactive outreach, solution selling, and key account management.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build deep relationships with technical and procurement stakeholders at client organizations.
- Understand client needs and provide consultative solutions aligned with lab capabilities and analytical precision.
- Ensure strong client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business through high service quality.
Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion
- Forge tie-ups and long-term collaborations with key players in the minerals and battery ecosystem.
- Represent the lab at industry events, exhibitions, and forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
- Stay ahead of trends, regulations, and technological changes in mineral testing and quality standards.
P&L Ownership & Team Leadership
- Own the revenue, margin, and market share targets for the QC lab business.
- Collaborate with internal lab operations and technical teams to ensure delivery excellence and commercial alignment.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a small but effective sales and business development team over time.
Candidate Profile
- 1420 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or client partnerships, preferably in mineral testing, chemical analysis, battery materials, or lab services.
- Strong understanding of battery minerals (Cobalt, Lithium, Nickel), precious metals, and critical mineral ecosystems.
- Proven experience in commercializing analytical/testing services or working closely with industrial labs.
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with the ability to work with CXOs and technical teams alike.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and scale a business vertical.
