Service Engineer @ Hydro Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Service Engineer to handle installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic pullers, jacks, and long-stroke cylinders. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in hydraulics, with a customer-focused approach and willingness to travel for on-site service support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning:
  Perform setup, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic pullers, jacks, and long-stroke cylinders at customer sites.
  
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:
  Conduct routine servicing and urgent repairs to ensure reliability and minimize downtime of hydraulic equipment.
  
• Technical Troubleshooting:
  Diagnose and resolve hydraulic and mechanical faults using systematic troubleshooting methods and diagnostic tools.
  
• Inspection & Testing:
  Carry out performance testing, calibration, and safety inspections in accordance with quality and industry standards.
  
• Customer Support:
  Provide on-site and remote technical support, operator training, and usage guidance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  
• Documentation & Reporting:
  Maintain detailed service reports, inspection records, and feedback logs. Communicate service outcomes and recommendations effectively to internal teams and clients.
  
• Workshop Support:
  Assist in workshop-based repair, refurbishing, and testing of hydraulic systems when not in the field.
  
• Spare Parts Management:
  Identify and recommend replacement parts, support spare parts inventory planning, and coordinate with the procurement team.
  
• Health & Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that service procedures comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
  
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, components, and servicing tools
  
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic pullers, jacks, or cylinders preferred
  
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical manuals
  
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
