Tata Elxsi: Network Automation Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

• Implementing and maintaining network automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, and other IaC tools. 
• Designing and deploying network configurations across multiple environments.
• Creating standardized, repeatable processes for network changes and deployments
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards for the Projects
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure
• Troubleshooting complex network issues in Linux environments.
• Collaborating with network engineering and operations teams to identify automation opportunities
• Documenting network architectures, automation workflows, and operational procedures
• Maintaining version control of network configurations and automation code
• Implementing monitoring and alerting network infrastructure

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and architecture.
• Expertise in network automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of infrastructure as code principles and methodologies
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and network programmability
• Experience with configuration management tools and practices
• Ability to document complex systems and processes effectively
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools
• Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
