Job Description

What Youll Do
Reporting to the Sr. Director, People and Culture (India), you will collaborate with the global business leadership team of Customer and Compliance Operations (CCO) to develop and implement talent and people programs across the entire employee lifecycle.
You will play a key role in fostering an engaging and inclusive workplace culture while supporting leaders in managing their teams in India. You will include leading the People team for Noida operations.
With expertise in organizational and change management, you will help leaders design scalable, agile teams while championing Avalaras values and success traits. You will blend strategic and hands-on responsibilities assessing business needs and translating them into impactful initiatives that support the growth and development of employees and leaders.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Partner with global and local CCO leadership to drive engagement, culture, performance, and talent development strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Contribute to organizational design and transformation as CCO expands, ensuring alignment with Avalaras
    Go Global
    strategy for India.
  • Coach and support managers and leaders in navigating change management and fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to refine strategies that support growth and evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytics to provide data-driven insights for CCO leaders.
  • Lead a core team of People Partner and HR Generalist supporting CCO teams .
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition to identify skill gaps, develop succession plans, and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving HR processes and leveraging automation where possible to enhance efficiency.
  • Act as a role model for Avalaras success traits, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

What Youll Need to be Successful
  • 15 years of experience in Human Resources but we value skills and impact over years of experience.
  • Experience in enterprise software (SaaS preferred) and/or a.
  • Strong track record of coaching, developing, and influencing leadership teams with a balance of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to thrive in a global, matrixed organization
  • Proficiency in data analytics with the ability to translate insights into strategic actions.
  • Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational development, employee relations, DEI, talent acquisition, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday experience preferred).
