Job Summary:
The Performance Assurance Presales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support during the sales process, working closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and design solutions that meet their needs. This role involves conducting product demonstrations, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring that proposed solutions align with the clients objectives. The ideal candidate is a technical professional with strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear value propositions for clients. This role shall also be the bridge between the sales team and various other technical functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities And Deliverables:
1. Technical Discovery & Solution Design: o Collaborate with sales and account managers to understand client requirements and provide technical insights. o Design and propose solutions that align with customer needs, demonstrating how the product can address their specific challenges. o Understanding of relevant navigational flow of the application. o Validate the prerequisites, assumptions and other important terms. o In depth understanding of the application architecture and replicate the same in solutions document. o Performance Engineering Feasibility Analysis. o Sound understanding of SDLC and STLC.
2. Product Demonstrations & Presentations: o Conduct services demos and presentations for prospective clients, highlighting key features, functionality, and benefits. o Tailor presentations to suit the audience, ensuring the technical value is communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Proposal & RFP Support: o Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, RFIs, and RFP responses, providing detailed product descriptions, solution architecture, and configurations. o Collaborate with sales teams to structure proposals that are clear, accurate, and compelling.
4. Effort Estimation: o Use the Estimation Model to derive the Efforts required for delivering the requirements stated in the proposal discovery. o Get the estimates reviewed and confirmed with Delivery COP teams and make necessary changes as per the inputs received from Delivery o Incase of multiple service lines to be included in a single proposal, ensure to provide optimum estimates without redundancy in the overheads from each service line 5. Margin Calculation & Approvals: o Use Margin calculator to derive the OM & GM for the estimates produced against the requirements stated in the proposal. Get the Margins reviewed and approved with Presales Consultant/Finance Manager based on the acceptable threshold
6. Customer Engagement & Technical Support: o Act as a technical point of contact for customers, addressing any technical questions or concerns throughout the sales cycle. o Build and maintain relationships with customers, positioning oneself as a trusted advisor.
7. Product & Market Knowledge: o Stay updated on product developments, industry trends, and competitive solutions to provide relevant insights to clients and the sales team. o Conduct market research and provide feedback to product teams based on client interactions and industry trends.
8. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: o Work closely with product management, engineering, and customer success teams to align on product capabilities, customer needs, and potential customizations. o Communicate client requirements and feedback to product and engineering teams to influence future product enhancements.
