Job Description
Position:** Senior Civil Engineer
Location:** Kothur - Hyderabad
Department:** Engineering
Employment Type:** Contract - 6 Months
Role Overview
The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects with a focus on Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Steel Structures. This role involves planning, designing, and executing various construction projects, ensuring they meet both industry standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in PEB, steel structures, AutoCAD, and project planning.
Key Responsibilities:**
Design & Analysis:**
- Lead the design and analysis of PEB and steel structures using relevant design codes and standards.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other design software.
- Ensure all designs are compliant with local regulations and safety standards.
- **Project Management:**
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
- **Team Leadership:**
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure all team members are adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Review and approve designs, drawings, and project documentation produced by the team.
- **Quality Control & Safety:**
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- **Client & Stakeholder Management:**
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Address any client concerns or issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing technical expertise as needed.
- **Reporting & Documentation:**
- Prepare and present project status reports, including progress, risks, and mitigations, to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and properly archived.
#### **Qualifications & Experience:**
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on PEB and steel structures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS).
- Strong project management skills with experience in planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
#### **Preferred Skills:**
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Experience with large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
