Job Description
Role & responsibilities
This role is focused on building and managing an attribution library for electrical engineering components. The goal is to create a structured, searchable database of product attributes for switchgear, circuit protection devices, relays, etc. This helps improve product data accuracy, support cost-out initiatives, and enable smarter decision-making in design and procurement.
It combines domain expertise in electrical engineering with data management and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities (Implied from Requirement):
- Create and manage attribution libraries for electrical components.
- Identify and capture technical attributes of products (e.g., ratings, specs, certifications).
- Work closely with design, sourcing, and product teams to ensure accurate, standard-compliant data.
- Support cost-out or value engineering projects through improved component visibility.
- Perform data analysis, clean-up, and enrichment activities.
- Ensure all work aligns with global electrical standards.
Skills Required (Must Have & Nice to Have):
Must Have:
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering basics
- Hands-on understanding of:
- Switchgear products
- Circuit protection devices
- Relays
- Familiarity with international standards (like IEC, UL, etc.)
- Data management and analysis capabilities
- Good communication skills (for collaboration and documentation)
Preferred candidate profile
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to cost-out/value engineering projects
- Experience working in component engineering or product standardization
- Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Experience: 4+ years in product design, component engineering, or electrical standards compliance
- Industry: OEMs, switchgear manufacturers, electrical product companies, or engineering consulting firms
Electrical Engineering basics, switch gear products knowledge, knowledge on circuit protection devices, relays etc., understanding of standards, cost out projects, data management and analysis, good communication skills
