1. Network Implementation and Migration:
- Deploy and migrate IP/MPLS network transport systems to support MPLS VPN traffic and internet services.
- Work with protocols like MPLS, LDP, ISIS, OSPF, and BGP for core network implementation and migration.
2. Configuration and Troubleshooting:
- Configure and deploy designed network solutions at the ISP Gateway level.
- Troubleshoot networking technologies, including MPLS, VPRN/VRF, and MP-BGP/BGP, in multi-vendor environments.
- Proficiency in configuring the new node using the vendor-specific tools (e.g., Nokias NRSII platform or router interfaces).
- Skills in firmware upgrades and testing to ensure the new node is up to date and operational.
- Experience in configuring network devices (e.g., routers and switches) to integrate the new ring seamlessly into the existing network.
- Familiarity with Nokias network equipment and tools, such as the 7x50 series routers.
3. Network Integration and Deployment:
- Configure, test, and deploy IP/MPLS network solutions, including services like VPLS, VPRN, and VPNs.
- Perform software upgrades (e.g., SROS) and ensure seamless integration of Nokias IP/MPLS products.
4. Troubleshooting and Support:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to IP/MPLS networks, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and service configurations.
- Provide technical support to customers during and after deployment.
- Experience in identifying and resolving issues that arise during and after the node insertion.
- Use of diagnostic tools and monitoring systems for rapid resolution.
5. Network Design and Architecture:
- Understanding of IP/MPLS network topology and architecture.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing ring-based network structures to ensure redundancy and fault tolerance.
6. Routing Protocols:
- Expertise in routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP to configure and optimize the new rings connectivity.
- Knowledge of MPLS protocols like LDP and RSVP-TE for label distribution and traffic engineering.
7. Traffic Engineering:
- Ability to analyze traffic patterns and ensure efficient load balancing within the new ring.
- Skills in configuring MPLS-TE (Traffic Engineering) to optimize network performance.
- Ability to calculate and manage traffic redistribution due to node insertion.
- Familiarity with MPLS-TE for managing network congestion or rerouting.
8. Configuration and Integration:
- Experience in configuring network devices (e.g., routers and switches) to integrate the new ring seamlessly into the existing network.
- Familiarity with Nokias network equipment and tools, such as the 7x50 series routers.
9. Testing and Validation:
- Proficiency in conducting end-to-end testing to validate the new rings functionality and performance.
- Skills in troubleshooting and resolving issues during the integration process.
10. Network Management Tools:
- Knowledge of network management and monitoring tools to oversee the new rings operation and ensure stability.
