The 2D Game Artist creates 2D art assets and game UIs for online and land-based slot games, cards and casual games. This includes game symbols, layout, graphic interface, instructional screens and attract sequences. The Artist is responsible for creating final 2D assets conforming to design requirements and consistently maintain the design standard.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree or diploma in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, animation or equivalent.
- 6+ years experience in gaming and excellent grasp in traditional as well as digital art creation/ illustrations.
- Develop concept art and final game art like; symbols, UI elements, characters, and environments.
- Strong in 2D illustrations, digital matte paintings, life drawing skills and color composition.
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and After Effects,.
- Z-Brush, Maya/ Bender 3D software experience desirable.
- Experience in Spine is plus.
- Understanding of interactive game art standards (theme, color, appeal, user interface design).
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- A link of portfolio is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create 2D game art for all aspects of casino slot games, including Character, symbols, backgrounds, props and UIs.
- Using strong graphic design skill, provide 2D user interface screens and information/instruction graphics for incorporation into final games.
- Create 2D/ 2.5D slot game arts within a range of predefined art styles, appropriate for the subjects game purpose, that is aesthetically pleasing and evokes a positive reaction in the players.
- Collaborate with Art Director and Game Designer to finalize artwork for each project. Provide artwork for review at appropriate stages and apply feedback accordingly.
- Align each game's art creation with the functional spec/graphic proposal, including conceptual art and storyboards. Creates graphics visually reinforcing game rule and game flow. Identify and executes cost effective, effort maximizing use of tools and techniques.
- Prepare data for in-game implementation, working within production requirements in collaboration with Software team. Modify frame artwork under tight deadlines. Understands full range of game types, products and platforms.
- Analyse the requirements of different genre of games and performance in the field from a player's perspective to find industry trends, consider players in art design and discern which art approaches are most effective to appeal to players.
