Required Skills Technology | Backup | Execute backup and restore in a virtualized infrastructure Technology | Storage and Backup Roles|Backup Administrator Technology | Backup|Labeling Media Tapes Technology | Container Technologies|Storage containers Education Qualification : Any Graduate (Engineering / Science) Certification Mandatory / Desirable : Technology | Respective Product Certification Key Responsibilities: Technology Management: - Lead backup technology management. - Plan and execute new technology rollouts. - Ensure team readiness from a technology perspective. - Manage SOPs, knowledge documents, and KB articles. - Implement technical methodology improvements based on past failures and learnings. Restoration: - Resolve complex or escalated issues from L2 engineers. - Prepare RCAs for major incidents and problem tickets. - Handle DB server changes, upgrades, performance tuning, and patching. Triage: - Serve as the final escalation point for all Backup issues (L3). - Coordinate with the Data Center TDU COE team for unresolved incidents. - Collaborate with respective TAC teams to resolve product-related issues or software bugs. Process Compliance: - Prepare and represent RFCs in the change advisory board for approval. - Assign approved changes to the L2 group for implementation. - Conduct repeat incident analysis to identify proactive problem tickets. - Update tickets regularly with information from vendor/customer analysis. - Prepare Shift Handover Reports. - Execute the Escalation Matrix (Vendor, Internal and Customer). - Ensure timely ticket closure following user/customer communication. - Maintain an inventory of network equipment and links. - Monitor tickets for SLA adherence and escalate deviations as defined in the process.
