What Youll Do
Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, the Brand Operations Manager at Avalara plays a pivotal role in overseeing project management efforts for the Global Brand Marketing Team, ensuring efficient execution of initiatives across geographies. You will combine strategic oversight, operational execution, and vendor management to support brand initiatives and ensure streamlined collaboration among global teams.
We are looking for a professional with organizational who can manage complex workflows, vendor contracts, and invoicing, while ensuring alignment between stakeholders. The Project Operations Manager will drive project prioritization, resource allocation, and process improvements to support brand marketing initiatives.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- You will oversee project workflows and deliverables to support global brand marketing initiatives.
- You will ensure execution of marketing content and creative projects, including campaign assets, long-form content, and digital content.
- You will align internal Brand team members, and cross-functional stakeholders on project scopes, expectations, and deadlines.
- You will report project status, identifying potential roadblocks and proposing solutions.
- You will Manage vendor Statements of Work (SOWs), contracts, invoicing, and procurement processes to ensure smooth operations for brand marketing projects.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure payments and compliance with internal policies.
- Oversee freelance and agency partnerships, ensuring seamless integration into brand marketing projects.
- Improve project tracking systems to enhance visibility across programs.
- Partner with Campaign Management to stay informed about campaign priorities, ensuring proactive involvement from brand marketing teams.
- Implement and refine project management best practices, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.
- You will improve operational workflows to enhance team productivity and execution.
- Support content and design teams in balancing incoming requests and ensuring a smooth project handoff.
What Youll Need to be Successful
- 8+ years of project management, team-building experience
- Experience in vendor management, contract administration, marketing operations and invoicing.
- Experience working with global teams and managing projects across multiple time zones.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., DivvyHQ, Confluence, SharePoint, Workfront, Adobe Experience Manager).
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
