Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Due Diligence Underwriter to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will assess mortgage loan applications, review borrower financials, evaluate property appraisals, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify mortgage loan applications and supporting documents
  
• Analyze borrowers creditworthiness, income, employment, and debt
  
• Evaluate credit reports, financial statements, tax returns, and pay stubs
  
• Review property appraisals to ensure valuation accuracy
  
• Ensure compliance with lending guidelines and regulatory requirements
  
• Identify and assess potential risks
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  
• 6 months to 6 years of experience in mortgage processing underwriting
  
• Strong knowledge of mortgage guidelines and industry regulations
  
• Proficient in mortgage tools/software
  
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
  
• Certification in underwriting is a plus
