through a flexible, user-friendly marketplace for self-drive car rentals. Our design team
plays a central role in shaping intuitive and delightful experiences across our
platformsespecially for our Hosts, who share their cars with thousands of guests.
Were looking for a skilled and thoughtful Senior or Lead UX Designer to help us raise
the bar, guide the team, and bring clarity and purpose to everything we design.
Role Overview
As a Senior/Lead UX Designer, you will lead the design for key product areas, working
closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create impactful and
user-centered solutions. Youll own the end-to-end design process, guide the team with
strong feedback, and help maintain a high standard of quality across the board. This
role is for someone whos not just great at craft but also enjoys shaping strategy,
mentoring others, and using new emerging technologies to work smarter and faster.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design across both web and mobile platforms.
- Work closely with PMs, engineers, and data analysts to define user problems
and shape product decisions with a design-first mindset.
- Help build a culture of great taste in designraising the visual, interaction, and
UX quality bar for the team.
- Run user research and usability testing to validate ideas and continuously
improve our experiences.
- Keep track of how your designs perform and iterate based on data, feedback,
and changing business needs.
- Use and promote AI tools to make design work more efficient and deliver better
qualityfrom content generation and prototyping to mockups and feature-
building.
- Drive the evolution of our design system to ensure consistency and efficiency
across platforms.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to designers, helping them grow their
skills and refine their work.
- Stay updated with design trends, tools, and practices, and share learnings with
the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio that shows your end-
to-end thinking and shipped work.
- Hands-on with Figma and prototyping tools. Must have explored and used AI
tools that elevate the efficiency and quality of design.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a sharp eye for detail and
consistency.
- Fair experience in leading design efforts and collaborating with cross-functional
teams in a fast-paced product environment.
- Comfortable mentoring junior designers and helping them grow through
feedback, pairing, and critique.
- A mindset of learning and experimentationyou enjoy trying new methods and
improving how things are done.
- Great communication and storytelling skills to explain your work and decisions
clearly to the team.
- Bonus: Understanding of HTML/CSS or how design translates into development.
