Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Application Support Specialist to join our team and provide global support for Workday Adaptive Planning. This individual will be responsible for resolving application-related tickets, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reports, and maintaining the integrity of financial and operational data. The role will focus on managing depth structure updates, mapping dimensions, updating financial information from SAP, user management, and ensuring all systems function efficiently across multiple regions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP financial systems, and IT support practices, and will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively while ensuring that reports and financial data are consistently accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Support & Ticket Resolution(L1, L2, L3):
- Provide day-to-day support for Workday Adaptive Planning, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues across different regions.
- Manage support tickets and ensure timely and effective resolution for users in different global regions.
- Depth Structure Updates:
- Coordinate and perform depth structure updates to ensure all data and workflows are aligned with business needs.
- Ensure depth structures are consistently updated based on the requirements and updates from global teams.
- SAP Data Integration:
- Work with SAP systems to extract actuals (revenue and cost) data, ensuring accurate updates and integration with Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Manage the import of actuals data for revenue and cost, ensuring proper alignment with financial plans.
- Update and validate SAP rate-related data and ensure it aligns with Workday Adaptive Planning's requirements.
- Mapping & Data Management:
- Manage and update GL accounts, customer dimensions, and other key financial data within the application.
- Perform level mapping, dimension mapping, and ensure proper synchronization of actuals, GL accounts, and dimensions across systems.
- User Management:
- Handle user creation and inventory management within Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Ensure accurate user role assignments, permissions, and access control for all users.
- Maintain an inventory of users and ensure proper configuration for each users role and responsibilities.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of reports for financial and operational data.
- Collaborate with various business units to ensure reports are meeting their needs and provide clear insights.
- Ensure all reporting and dashboard requirements are met on time, across all regions.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and business operations, to ensure system functionality and data accuracy.
- Coordinate with global teams to understand regional system needs and requirements, providing tailored solutions and support.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to process improvements for application support, report generation, and user management to enhance the overall system performance.
- Stay up-to-date with new features and updates in Workday Adaptive Planning and SAP, ensuring the system is optimized for business requirements.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or application management, with a focus on financial systems or planning tools like Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Experience with SAP systems, specifically for handling actuals, revenue, cost, and financial data.
- Familiarity with depth structure management, GL account handling, and dimension mapping.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Workday Adaptive Planning (or similar financial planning and analysis tools).
- Strong knowledge of SAP, especially for extracting financial data and integrating it into other planning systems.
- Familiarity with reporting tools and experience generating complex reports.
- Experience in managing user accounts, roles, and permissions in enterprise applications.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently, even under pressure.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business users globally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Familiarity with data integration tools or middleware for SAP and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Understanding of financial processes, budgeting, and forecasting systems.
