Role & responsibilities
Remote and smart hands services in the data center.
Document and monitor service tickets for resolutions and customer interactions.
Install and configure IT hardware (servers, storage, network equipment).
Execute passive cabling and patching per the Statement of Work (SOW).
Organize, label, and manage cables for a clean environment.
Handle rack power cabling, including power cycling and testing.
Replace defective components (memory cards, fans, NIC cards).
Diagnose LAN cables, set up IPs, and prepare devices for network configuration.
Perform functional, connectivity, and system performance tests.
Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting support.
Transfer equipment and documentation to relevant teams post-installation.
Prepare detailed reports on activities and issues resolved.
Manage material movements (inward/outward).
Reorganize and verify cabling connections.
Coordinate with local couriers for RMA processes.
Assist customer representatives with escort services as needed.
Configure hardware, network, and software settings (IP assignment, installations).
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, updating configurations.
Maintain accurate records of installations and configurations.
Ensure a clean and hazard-free work area.
Document all activities and test results.
