- Overview The Big Data Developer is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for designing, building, and managing large-scale data processing systems. The Big Data Developer will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to develop scalable data pipelines, enhance database architecture, and ensure the quality and accessibility of data. As organizations increasingly rely on data to inform decisions, the importance of the Big Data Developer cannot be overstated. Their expertise in handling vast amounts of structured and unstructured data will help the organization leverage analytics to gain a competitive edge in the market. This role requires a combination of technical skills and a keen understanding of business operations, making it essential for the creation of data-driven solutions that meet our diverse client needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable data processing pipelines. Integrate data from various sources into a cohesive database structure. Optimize existing data systems for enhanced performance and scalability. Analyze large data sets to identify trends and provide insights. Design and implement ETL processes for data transformation and loading. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to refine data requirements. Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data. Work with Hadoop frameworks to manage and process big data. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time. Implement data security and data governance measures. Participate in code reviews and maintain programming standards. Develop documentation for data architecture and processes. Stay updated with emerging technologies in the big data field. Participation in cross-functional team projects and initiatives. Provide training and support to team members on best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Big Data Developer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python. Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. Proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and design. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Experience with data integration and ETL tools. Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members. Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously learn. Experience in Agile methodologies and development processes. Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
