Job Description
- As a Big Data - Data Modeller at our organization, you will be responsible for leading moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments. Your role will involve contributing to large-scale planning of strategies, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs associated with the technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. You will also review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures, as well as resolve issues and lead a team to meet client needs while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements. Collaboration and consultation with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will lead projects, act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff, and collaborate with scrum stakeholders to implement modernized and sustainable technology roadmaps. The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong Data Modeling Skills, expertise in Big Data, ETL, Hadoop, Google Big Query, BigQuery, Kafka event streaming, API development, and CI/CD. A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Big Data Software Enterprise Application development, with the use of continuous integration and delivery when developing code, is required. Experience in the Banking/Financial technology domain will be preferred. You must have a good understanding of current and future trends and practices in Technology, and be able to proactively manage risk through the implementation of the right controls and escalate where required. Your responsibilities will also include working with the Engineering manager, product owner, and Team to ensure that the product is delivered with quality, on time, and within budget. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will be required to work in a global development environment.
