Number of Positions: 2 ETL QA Lead - 1 ETL Test Engineer - 1 Experience Required: 5-12 Years (In ETL Testing) Location: [Insert Location or specify Remote/Hybrid] Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced ETL QA Lead and Senior Test Engineers with a strong background in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) testing, data validation, and data quality assurance. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our data pipelines and enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of QA processes in data-centric environments and demonstrate leadership and mentoring capabilities. Candidates with experience in working with following tech stacks will be preferred: PySpark/Python, Databricks, Power BI, AWS. Key Responsibilities:For QA Lead: Lead the planning, design, and execution of ETL test strategies and frameworks. Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. Drive end-to-end testing for data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. Mentor and guide a team of QA engineers, ensuring best practices and adherence to standards. Develop and maintain automated test suites for ETL and data validation processes. Track and report quality metrics, identify bottlenecks, and ensure continuous improvement. Work with SQL extensively to validate large datasets and perform backend testing. Own defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking. Collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts during development and deployment. Also contribute in testing activities as well apart from leading the team. For Senior Test Engineers: Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes. Perform data quality validation, source-to-target (S2T) mapping verification, and transformation logic testing. Validate data pipelines built using tools such as Informatica, or similar. Work with SQL extensively to validate large datasets and perform backend testing. Participate in performance testing and optimization of ETL workflows. Collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts during development and deployment. Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years of experience in QA, with 5+ years in ETL/Data Warehouse testing. Strong SQL skills; ability to write complex queries to validate data accuracy and transformation logic. Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, relational databases, and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Oracle, etc.). Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage). Proficient in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM). Experience with test automation frameworks for ETL/data validation is a plus. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git is a plus. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience in Big Data or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus. Experience to data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI is beneficial for validation support.
