Job Description
- As a Lead Consultant - Automation Tester at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality software delivery through your strong technical expertise and meticulous approach to quality assurance. Your responsibilities will include writing and executing reusable test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, designing and maintaining web and mobile automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and conducting thorough testing of applications to ensure alignment with user requirements and business goals. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, along with solid knowledge of Agile methodologies. Your extensive professional experience as a software engineer or SDET focusing on test automation, coupled with strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript, will be essential for success in this role. Proficiency in testing mobile applications, familiarity with web applications developed using React/Next.js, and experience with API testing and automation using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or Request are also required qualifications. Additionally, you should have experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, knowledge of database technologies such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and the ability to write queries for testing purposes. Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, are key attributes that we seek in you. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with development, QA, and product teams to align automation strategies with project goals are also crucial for this role. If you possess knowledge of performance testing, experience developing applications with React Native and Next.js, and exposure to common issues, it would be considered a plus.
