Job Description

    Position Overview We are seeking a motivated M. Tech researcher to join our advanced cooling systems research team. The successful candidate will work on developing and optimizing innovative hybrid cooling solutions that integrate dew point regenerative cooling with vapor compression systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in energy-efficient cooling technologies with potential applications in Residential Cooling, HVAC, data centers, and industrial cooling. Key Responsibilities Research & Development Design and develop hybrid cooling systems combining dew point regenerative cooling and vapor compression technologies Conduct theoretical analysis and mathematical modeling of hybrid cooling cycles Perform experimental validation of proposed cooling system configurations Optimize system performance parameters including energy efficiency, cooling capacity, and cost-effectiveness Investigate novel heat and mass transfer enhancement techniques for integrated systems Technical Analysis Develop computational models using CFD and thermodynamic simulation software Analyze system performance under varying operating conditions and climatic parameters Conduct energy and exergy analysis of hybrid cooling configurations and prime air movers Evaluate economic feasibility and environmental impact of proposed solutions Perform comparative studies with conventional cooling systems Experimental Work Design and set up experimental test rigs for hybrid cooling systems Conduct performance testing and data collection under controlled laboratory conditions Calibrate instruments and ensure accuracy of measurement systems Troubleshoot experimental setups and resolve technical challenges Maintain detailed experimental logs and documentation Documentation & Communication Prepare comprehensive technical reports Present research findings at technical conferences and seminars Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers and system designers and industrial engineers Document intellectual property and assist in patent applications Contribute to grant proposals and research funding applications Required Qualifications Education MTech in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field Strong academic record with focus on heat transfer, thermodynamics, or HVAC systems Coursework in fluid mechanics, refrigeration, and air conditioning preferred Technical Skills Proficiency in thermodynamic analysis and heat transfer calculations Experience with simulation software (ANSYS Fluent, SimScale, MATLAB, EES, or similar) Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and vapor compression systems Understanding of psychrometric analysis and air-conditioning processes Familiarity with evaporative cooling principles and dew point cooling technologies Research Experience Hands-on experience with experimental setup design and instrumentation Knowledge of data acquisition systems and measurement techniques Experience with performance testing of thermal systems Understanding of uncertainty analysis and experimental validation methods Software Proficiency Advanced skills in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages Experience with CAD software for system design and modeling Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software Knowledge of CFD software packages for thermal analysis Specialized Knowledge Prior research experience in evaporative cooling or dew point cooling systems Understanding of advanced refrigeration cycles and heat pump technologies Knowledge of building energy systems and HVAC optimization Experience with renewable energy integration in cooling systems Additional Skills Published research papers in peer-reviewed journals Experience with prototype development and testing Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and green building certifications - optional Familiarity with machine learning applications in thermal systems Personal Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Attention to detail and commitment to research quality Innovative thinking and creativity in system design Time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines What We Offer Competitive research fellowship/salary package Access to our R&D facility and equipment Opportunities for professional development and conference participation Application Requirements Detailed CV highlighting relevant research experience Academic transcripts and degree certificates Statement of purpose outlining research interests and career goals Two academic/professional references Portfolio of previous research work, publications, or projects Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Internship Contract length: 12 months Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person Expected Start Date: 01/07/2025,
