Senior Software Developer - 508 Compliance @ Launchit Enterprise

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze and update existing code to improve accessibility and ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, accessible user interfaces.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure reliability of new and updated code.
• Conduct code reviews with a focus on accessibility best practices.
• Maintain proper documentation of changes made for compliance tracking and audit purposes.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Hands on experience in software development with strong coding skills.
• Solid understanding of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility requirements.
• Experience with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience working with US Clients is an added advantage.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience working into Java environment and Agile is an added advantage.
