Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Procurement Planning & Sourcing:
- Source civil construction materials, equipment, subcontractors, and services as per project requirements.
- Evaluate and onboard vendors/suppliers for quality, price, and capacity.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Costing & Estimation:
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates based on technical drawings and BOQs.
- Apply zero-based costing methods to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work closely with the project and estimation teams for budgeting.
- Technical Evaluation:
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Verify material specifications and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Vendor Development & Negotiation:
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Lead commercial negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs), track delivery schedules, and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation.
- Coordination & Reporting:
- Coordinate with the planning, execution, and finance teams for smooth material flow.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons, and MIS for management review.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, and market rates.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and BOQs.
- Experience in cost estimation and zero-based costing techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Experience: 5-10 years (preferred in civil procurement)
Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Working Terms:
- As per the Nigeria Labour law, we have a limited quota for expats. As we are a multi-company group, we have a limited expat quota available to each company. Therefore, wherever the quota is available, accordingly we issue the appointment letter to the candidate on behalf of that company.
- Time-off Rotation will be 6 Month working and 21 Days off if posted in Lagos, 6 months ON 30 days OFF, if posted in Plant/Site. & subsequently followed by every 6 months once (with International & Domestic air ticket provided by the company)
- Workdays & Hours Six and half days work
- First salary will be released after 60 Days followed by the salary cycle (Ex: If you join in July, you will get first month salary in September then after that every month you will get regularly)
