 Assistant Vice President, Risk Policy (BRE)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Should have experience on FICO BRE.
  • Understand and acquainted to End to end cycle of coding & lending products.
  • Works closely with functional and technical subject matter experts and other project teams to successfully deploy BRE/system enhancements,
  • Execute ongoing coding, maintenance and enhancement of business rules on BRE.
  • Authoring of rules and all types of business logics Decision rules, decision tables, decision trees etc
  • Understanding requirement from concerned policy manager for creation of new rules or modifications required in the existing product policy.
  • Understand Decision system and data structures.
  • Support ongoing system builds, system enhancements across businesses and facilitate risk team.
  • Designing functional rule flow/rule sets in coordination with policy team
  • Devising test rule flow.
  • Implementation with minimal defects
  • Simulate and debug the rules in various environment (UAT, Pre-prod and production)
  • Maintaining track of all the items/projects and ensure follow-up for closure
  • Sound understanding of lending related processes.
  • Well versed with Testing life cycle and experience on Manual testing, API testing, regression testing, etc.
  • Focus on Internal and external customers both
  • Coordinating with all the stakeholders from understanding of the requirement till implementation of the policy related change/modification
  • Proactively liaising with relevant teams for understanding/ evaluation/detection of rule.
  • Provide timely and insightful feedback on changes/modification to improve policy implementation.
  • Understanding requirement from concerned policy manager for creation of new BRE rules or modifications required in the existing product policy.
  • Ensuring the complete testing of BRE rules
  • Maintenance of rules/Authoring rules on system
  • Implementation of changes in timely manner with minimal defects
  • Requirement Compilation - Understanding the scope and flow of BRE requirement across systems from user (Risk Managers) and sharing the requirement with BRE IT Team
  • Preparation of DHW
  • To help relevant teams in assessment of issues, if any, encountered in the processing of case in any environment.
  • To guide team in assessment of issue and query in any BRE /system related issue
  • Responsible for rule authoring, testing and implementation of the BRE rules.
  • Reporting of defects and tracking it till resolution.
  • BRE rules /system modification to be tested within expected timelines
  • Understanding of application flow in different system
  • Coordinate with different stakeholders for implementation and testing of various business rule engines/system enhancement.
  • Aid in audit conduct.
  • Maintaining and development of MIS
  • Knowledge of FICO Blaze/ BRE process
  • Governance
  • Vendor - System / IT

Preferred candidate profile

  • Deep knowledge of lending processes origination, approval, disbursal, compliance
  • Preferred from Home Loan/ Mortgage background
  • System implementation and UAT support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • Preferred: MBA or post-graduate qualification in Finance, Risk Management, Data Science, or similar
