Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Preparation of documentation of the Testing Process
- Creating and Modifying Test Scenarios
- Close cooperation with a project team - in particular with the System Architect, Business Analyst and Programmers
- Verification and validation of software in terms of correctness of the functionality provided, ergonomics and compliance with the adopted assumptions
- Running software tests with various techniques adapted to the design requirements
- Detecting errors and incorrect software operation during scheduled tests and ad-hoc tests
- Restoration and evaluation of errors and irregularities in the operation of software detected by System users during their testing
- Reporting errors and irregularities in the operation of software in the system used in the project for supporting the production, testing and debugging of software.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B. Tech / B.E / MCA or Equivalent from Reputed University
- Minimum 5 years of testing experience & minimum 10 years of IT Experience
- Knowledge and experience about test tools
- Knowledge of testing techniques
- Good analytic skills to review Requirements, Specifications and understand what needs to be tested
- Exposure in lifecycle testing
- Understand test data dependencies for a given context
- Expert in defining, executing and reporting tests for complex software systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of English allowing understanding of customer requirements in English, preparation and understanding of project documentation in English, exchanging information with members of the project team in English
Nice to Have Skills
- Knowledge about Representational State Transfer (REST)
- Knowledge about SQL queries
- Knowledge about Release Management
- Experience in working with JIRA. Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo or relevant systems
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Experience in automation testing
- Knowledge of energy sector and technologies as DLSM, OSGP, DXCP
- Experience in SDLC
- Knowledge of CD/CI
