Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of QMS documents applicable to Electrical Projects e.g. Project Quality Plan. ITPs, Procedures etc.
- Responsible for overall management of day-to-day quality activities, Supervision and implementation of Contract quality and technical requirements; resolution of quality problems; preparation and maintenance of Contract quality records.
- Conducting Quality Audits / inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with the Owner/Owners Engineer representative for QA/QC matters.
- Collaborating with Construction Manager/Site Engineers for compliance and resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Responsible for preparing necessary Work Procedures ( Method Statements) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP )
- Responsible for Implementing QA/QC procedures & ITP towards Subcontract portion of works and generating reports for job completion and deviations .
- Coordinating Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Manufacturers Premises, including coordination with Client & Consultants to ensure flawless FAT as per the schedule.
- Conducting material Inspection for incoming material at site as per the Project Specifications & Applicable GA Drawings / Estimates / Purchase orders and arranging Timely Client Inspection and preparation of Materials Receipt cum Damage Report .
- Inspection of Completed Jobs at Site level inline with Approved Drawings and Coordination of Client Inspection and certification.
- Coordination with client and Site team for closure of Snag points
- Preparation of Weekly/Monthly Quality Report at site and submission to Client.
- Maintaining Document control Register at Site level
- Responsible for preparation of red mark-up Construction and Vendor GA Drawings.
- Coordination and Collection of Protection Red mark-up Drawings
- Review of as built Version of Drawings inline with Submitted Red mark-up drawings
- Maintaining all Quality Records in line with Project requirement.
- Site Store Management and Implementation of materials preservation as per vendor manual and approved procedures
- Managing Quality Walkdowns to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Responsible for coordination for auditing activities internal, external, and follow up and close out of Corrective Actions.
- Responsible for review, verification and closing of non-conformities.
- Compilation of final as built documentation as per the Project and customer requirements and further submission to Owner/Owners Engineer for review and approval, which includes the submissions required for Taking Over Certificate and Final Acceptance Certificate (Gate Documents and GIS Data).
Preferred candidate profile
B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 10 Years of overall Experience in Quality Management System which includes 8 years of experience in Transmission and Distribution Projects.
Shall have experience in quality management in projects covering design / engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases and Certified Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard.
Conversant with the applicable codes in Electrical Transmission and distribution Projects.
Should have knowledge on standards applied by PDO, OETC, NED etc.
Shall have good communication and coordination skills.
