Key Requirements

Must-Have Skills (Core Combination)

• Looker: Experience working on the Looker BI tool.
  
• Looker ML (LookML): Knowledge of Looker's proprietary modeling language for building data models and dashboards.
  
• Data Modeling: Understanding how to structure data effectively for reporting/analytics.
  
• SQL: Strong hands-on SQL skills for querying and managing data.
  

This combination is mandatory the candidate must have good command over all four.

Other Important Requirements

• Communication Skills: Should be able to explain data insights, logic, and issues clearly to both tech and non-tech teams.
  
• Basic SQL Knowledge: Reinforces that SQL is required at least to a level where the candidate can write, debug, and optimize queries.
  
• Looker Concepts: Understanding of both fundamental and advanced features of Looker (such as explores, views, dashboards, LookML projects, permissions, etc.).
  
• Version Control: Should know how to manage LookML code through Git or similar version control tools.
  
• Lookers SQL Runner: Able to test and validate data using Looker's built-in SQL Runner tool.
