Job Description

    Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development of the companys technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to determine the companys short and long-term technology needs. Build and manage the technology team, promoting innovation, collaboration, and efficiency. Identify emerging technological trends and innovations that could benefit the manufacturing process or create new business opportunities. Oversee the development of technology roadmaps to guide the companys product and process innovations. Technology & Innovation: Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies, automation, and digital solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs. Promote research and development (R&D) efforts to enhance product design and manufacturing processes. Ensure that the companys technology is scalable and adaptable to future growth and industry changes. Operations & Manufacturing: Oversee technical operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in production. Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that affect production. Ensure the company maintains up-to-date manufacturing technology, equipment, and software. Evaluate and optimize the supply chain with the integration of smart systems and data analytics. Collaboration & Communication: Act as a key liaison between the technology team and other departments, such as production, engineering, and quality assurance. Provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors on technical developments, risks, and opportunities. Build relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to leverage external technology solutions or resources. Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure that all technology initiatives comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations. Oversee the risk management strategy for technology infrastructure, focusing on cybersecurity and data protection. Ensure that technical systems and operations align with quality assurance and industry certification standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma). Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage budgets for technology investments, R&D, and technical operations. Evaluate return on investment (ROI) for technology-related initiatives and projects. Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging staff to stay up to date with the latest manufacturing technologies and best practices. Conduct performance reviews, provide career development guidance, and address team performance issues as needed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience in the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies. Strong understanding of digital manufacturing tools, automation, robotics, AI, and machine learning. Experience with manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems, CAD/CAM) and cloud platforms. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Desired Skills: Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
