Senior Network Engineer @ Sify

Work location - Mumbai ( Malad)

Monitor network performance and health using network monitoring tools.

Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).

Provide first-level support for network-related issues and escalate to senior engineers when necessary.

Assist in implementing network upgrades and patches.

Ensure proper documentation of network infrastructure and incident reports.

Perform routine network audits to ensure compliance with security standards.

Support network monitoring systems, such as SNMP, syslog, and other network diagnostic tools.

Assist with basic network configurations and setups for new network devices.

Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to resolve issues and improve network services.

Respond promptly to service requests, resolve incidents, and maintain a high level of customer service.

The project requires 6 working days, and the candidate will need to work in 24/7 shifts.

Additionally, the candidate should be located along the Western line in Mumbai.

Customer Location - Umang Tower, off New Link Road, Malad, Mindspace, Malad West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400064

Skills

Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, and DNS/DHCP).

Familiarity with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).

Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, etc.

Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in networking technologies.
