Role & responsibilities
- Road logistic operation
- Day to day Liasioning with transporters .
- Truck Placement
- Tendering
- Driving continuous process improvements in logistics and transportation by leveraging industry best practices, technology, and collaboration.
- Implementing strategic logistics solutions to reduce lead times, enhance efficiency, and drive cost-effective cargo movement.
- Conducting auctions and negotiating freight contracts to secure competitive and efficient transportation solutions.
- Managing transportation and supply chain for raw materials, TMT , structural components, finished products focusing on cost optimization, efficiency, and workflow enhancement. Following up with accounts to ensure timely processing of freight bills and on-time payments to transporters.
- Liasioning with customs authorities, transport partners, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and uninterrupted supply chain operations.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the companys objectives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Successfully planned and executed e-auctions for freight, securing competitive rates and improving service quality by managing carrier pre-qualification, auction documentation, live monitoring, and bid evaluation.
- Utilize advanced GPS tracking systems to monitor shipment progress in real-time, proactively managing any delays or issues to maintain delivery commitments.
- Monitor and control logistics costs, seeking opportunities to reduce expenses through efficient route planning, bulk shipping, and vendor negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, production, and procurement to ensure seamless supply chain operations and support overall business goals.
- Daily Truck Placement/Conducting Competitive bidding in Web portal.
- Freight Negotiations for truck placement , Transit time monitoring and Transporter Bill verification .
- Entry and processing or Payment (bill Passing).
- GST and Tax verification (Transporter Bill).
- Freight register maintenance and MIS Reporting.
Preferred candidate profile Who have previously worked in Road Logistics Management.
