Team Lead || Workshop Manager @ Cars24

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily workshop operations including diagnostics, repair, and refurbishment
  
• Ensure vehicles are serviced/refurbished within defined TAT (Turnaround Time) and cost targets
  
• Assign tasks and monitor performance of technicians and support staff
  
• Coordinate with the sourcing, quality, and delivery teams to ensure smooth vehicle flow
  
• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure adherence to company standards
  
• Analyze service data and drive continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency
  
• Resolve operational bottlenecks and escalate technical issues when needed
  
• Monitor spare parts usage and ensure optimal inventory levels
  
• Implement safety and compliance practices across the workshop
  
• Coach and upskill the technical team for consistent performance

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
  
• 46 years of experience in vehicle service/workshop management, preferably in used car or multi-brand setup
  
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
  
• Proven team leadership and people management skills
  
• Data-driven mindset with good command of workshop MIS/reporting tools
  
• Experience with reconditioning/refurbishment workflows is a plus
  
• Knowledge of lean practices, quality control, and vendor coordination
  
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital platforms and dashboards
