Job Description
- As an experienced candidate with a minimum of 5 years of Australian Tax experience, you will be responsible for working independently in Australian Tax. Your key responsibilities and duties will include preparing Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements for a variety of clients, such as individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, and SMSFs. You will also be required to prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) in a timely and accurate manner. Familiarity with popular Australian tax software like Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, and QuickBooks Online is essential for this role. In addition, you will be expected to reconcile and allocate day-to-day bank transactions, coordinate with Australian clients, suppliers, and customers through phone calls and emails, and conduct Tax Research & Consultation on various tax issues. Effective communication with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), clients, and other professionals is crucial to ensure the accurate completion of all tasks. To qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, along with a strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations. Proven experience in preparing income tax returns and financial statements for different entities is required, and experience with self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) is highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite, is also necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively liaising with clients and stakeholders. Candidates with CA/CS/ICWA qualifications or dropouts, along with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required, along with the ability to communicate directly with Australia/NZ clients over the phone. Immediate joiners are highly preferred for this role, and office timings are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM IST.
