- At Microsoft, you will be part of a team that oversees the largest platform for collaboration and productivity globally, serving millions of consumer and enterprise users. Your role will involve addressing AI, Systems, and Compliance challenges to ensure the delivery of top-notch productivity experiences. As a member of the M365 Research team, you will contribute to driving medium and long-term product innovations through applied research. Collaboration with various research teams and product groups worldwide will expose you to diverse technical expertise in cloud systems, machine learning, privacy, and software engineering. Your research outcomes will be communicated both internally and externally through various channels such as academic publications, open-source releases, blog posts, patents, and industry conferences. Additionally, you will engage with academic and industry partners to push the boundaries of technology and strive for impactful product outcomes that benefit millions of customers. We are seeking a Researcher with expertise in generative AI, including areas such as domain adaptation, scalable and distributed machine learning, modular AI, privacy, security, and reliability in AI. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and executing the research agenda of our team of over 40 world-class researchers. Collaborating across different organizational units, you will drive initiatives that deliver significant business and academic value. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting innovative research to advance Large Language Model / Generative AI experiences for deployment at scale. Working closely with a select group of research scientists and product engineering teams, you will develop practical solutions with real-world impact. You will be instrumental in driving the research agenda end-to-end, starting from defining problems to creating algorithms and models. Additionally, you will be expected to publish and contribute to leading scientific conferences and journals. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: - Doctorate in a relevant field AND 4+ years of related research experience OR equivalent expertise. - Previous participation in a top conference within the relevant research domain. - Experience in publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor. #M365CORE,
