Your new role as an HVDC/FACTS Service Engineer with Siemens Energy will be both challenging and future-oriented. As part of the team, you will be responsible for various key tasks, including: - Testing software and hardware for control & protection of HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard systems. - Testing primary electrical equipment in HV AC Switchyards. - Testing and programming numerical protection relays, preferably from the Siemens SIPROTEC family. - Conducting factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for HVDC/FACTS C&P systems. - Providing troubleshooting and technical service support at customer sites for HVDC & FACTS. - Updating engineering documentation/drawings post completion of tests. - Involvement in extensive travel to customer project sites, customer interactions, and software programming. - Managing, developing, and ensuring profitability of HVDC & FACTS spares business. - Ensuring business KPIs are met and maintaining services for customers in line with company policies. - Responding to customer inquiries, preparing offers, managing order execution for spare parts business, and liaising with vendors for timely deliveries. - Attending customer meetings, collaborating with the sales team, and driving initiatives to expand the service business. - Overseeing project activities, preparing offers and proposals, and ensuring technical and commercial closures. Qualifications & Skills required for this role include: - B.E / B. Tech in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics with 4 to 8 years of experience. - Good knowledge in testing software and hardware for control & protection of HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard systems. - Experience in HVDC/FACTS systems is advantageous. - Technical proficiency, good communication skills, team leadership abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure. - In-depth technical understanding of HVDC & FACTS technologies, offer testing & commissioning processes, and project management tools. - Excellent intercultural sensitivity, written & verbal communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office tools.
