Job Description
- As part of the Industry Solutions (IS) organization at Microsoft, you will be joining a global team of over 16,000 strategic sellers, industry experts, elite engineers, architects, and consultants dedicated to empowering every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. In this role, your responsibilities will include people management, where you will lead by example by modeling Microsoft's culture, coaching your team to define objectives and outcomes, and caring for the growth and well-being of individuals. You will support your team in understanding the technical environment of customers and partners, guiding them to map architecture and digital transformation solutions to business goals. Additionally, you will facilitate insight sharing with product engineering teams and drive internal advocacy to align with customer feedback. As a manager, you will also oversee architecture design and deployment, ensuring that teams leverage existing approaches and develop scalable solutions. You will guide the documentation of architecture and communication of the value proposition to customers, while collaborating with other managers to drive project governance. Practice development will be a key focus, where you will generate intellectual property, drive re-use of assets, and participate in internal and external communities. You will serve as a trusted advisor, developing relationships with senior decision-makers and acting as an advisor to external stakeholders. Your role will involve coaching your team to articulate complex concepts, challenge decisions when necessary, and provide a holistic perspective on customer challenges and industry trends. Thought leadership will be integral to your role, where you will foster community sharing, participate in external events, and mentor colleagues on technical and non-technical concepts. To qualify for this position, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, or a related domain. Additional qualifications such as technical sales experience, project management experience, and people management experience are highly desirable. A technical or professional certification in the domain is also beneficial.
