Job Description
- As an Electrical Design Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will be part of the High Voltage Business team located in Maneja, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. In this position, you will be responsible for project engineering tasks, including designing, communicating, and executing operational plans for engineering-based projects. This involves preparing designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and overseeing production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure and equipment. You will monitor project progress, identify resources required for project completion, and address operational challenges to ensure timely project delivery. Key responsibilities include engineering tasks during the tender and order stage, such as preparing layouts, single-line diagrams, and technical submission documents based on project requirements. You will coordinate with internal departments, business units, clients, vendors, and contractors, review vendor drawings, and prepare various design documents related to substations and switchyards. As a qualified candidate, you should hold a BE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering and have 8 to 11 years of experience in engineering design, with a preference for knowledge in AIS/GIS up to 400kV and proficiency in AutoCAD applications. Fluency in spoken and written English is necessary for this role.
