This position is based in Bangalore, allowing a blend of office and remote work flexibility. Play a pivotal role in Dolby's new R+D Center in Bangalore as a Researcher in the Advanced Technology Group "ATG." ATG serves as Dolby Labs" research and technology division, driving innovation in audio, video, AR/VR, gaming, music, and movies. Various competencies in computer science and electrical engineering, including AI/ML, computer vision, image processing, algorithms, digital signal processing, audio engineering, data science & analytics, distributed systems, cloud, edge & mobile computing, and more, are crucial for our research. As a Researcher, leverage your expertise in computer vision and deep learning technology at Dolby. A strong foundation in multi-view geometry, recognition and detection, 3D scene representation and reconstruction, and signal/image/video processing, combined with deep learning knowledge, is essential. Your ability to balance computational complexity with performance across different implementations will drive decision-making. Conduct research to innovate new neural network architectures, training methods, representation, and processing algorithms in the realm of modern computer vision. In-depth comprehension of computer vision processes is a must for this role. Extensive experience in developing architectures, computer vision tasks at various levels, and processing algorithms using deep learning to enhance performance is required. Join a highly skilled and motivated team dedicated to advancing computer vision and processing technologies for an enhanced end-user experience. **What you'll do:** - Work with a general understanding of competitive technologies in the area of focus. - Comprehend the system context for new technologies and the requirements for their successful implementation. - Develop early-stage conceptual models showcasing feasibility. - Document and present new architectures and algorithms through technical white papers and internal meetings. - Uphold the highest technical and moral standards for Dolby in the workplace and the market. **What you'll need:** - Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, or a master's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of research experience. - Proficiency in algorithm development for machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and 3D scenes. - Strong familiarity with computer graphics, video processing systems, and relevant software in consumer and professional products. - Proficient in Matlab, C/C++, OpenCV, and Python (Tensorflow/Pytorch) programming for computer vision applications. - Self-motivated, quick learner, strong team player with the ability to work independently, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Desirable:** - Experience in patenting newly developed technologies. - Practical experience in applying Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms to real-world challenges. - Proven track record of successful research, published papers, and/or patent applications in video encoding and processing. - LI-SB1,
