Job Description

Job Title: Confectionery Commi 1

Department: Bakery & Confectionery

We are seeking a skilled and creative Confectioner (Commi 1) to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in crafting high-quality confections, designer cakes, fondant work, and other sweet delicacies with a strong emphasis on taste, texture, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide variety of confectionery items including chocolates, candies, fudge, and other sweet treats following standardized recipes and guidelines.

Create and decorate designer cakes, including fondant cakes, theme cakes, and celebration cakes.

Innovate and develop new recipes to diversify the confectionery and cake menu.

Operate and maintain confectionery and cake equipment such as tempering machines, molds, ovens, and mixers.

Ensure consistency in quality, flavor, and presentation across all products.

Decorate items with precision, creativity, and a strong eye for detail.

Maintain inventory and stock levels of raw materials; initiate timely reordering as needed.

Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in the work area.

Collaborate with pastry, bakery, and kitchen teams to create complementary menu offerings.

Stay informed about market trends, seasonal demands, and introduce innovative products accordingly.

Skills & Requirements:

Diploma or Certification in Bakery, Confectionery, or Culinary Arts (preferred).

Proven experience in confectionery production, fondant work, and designer cake making.

Strong artistic ability and creativity in cake design and confection presentation.

Thorough understanding of ingredients, flavor pairings, and modern techniques.

Proficiency in using confectionery tools and equipment.

Excellent attention to detail and passion for high-quality output.

Effective time management to meet order and production deadlines.

Knowledge of FSSAI food safety norms and hygiene standards.
