Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager to ensure the optimal performance, safety, and compliance of all plant infrastructure, utilities, and support systems. The role demands expertise in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, DG, compressors, and cleanroom maintenance in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Utility Management
- Maintain and manage all critical plant utilities: HVAC, DG sets, compressors, chillers, UPS, fire safety systems, and LT/HT electrical panels
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of production cleanrooms, compressed air lines, power systems, and water treatment plants (STP/ETP)
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy conservation practices
Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules (PM plans) for all plant facilities and utilities
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for any breakdown or facility failure
- Maintain spares inventory, vendor coordination, and AMC tracking
Safety, Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure adherence to statutory safety norms, environmental regulations, and factory compliance
- Coordinate with EHS teams for facility audits, safety drills, and emergency preparedness
- Implement 5S, TPM, and Kaizen in facility management
Project Management
- Lead facility expansion, machine relocation, and infrastructure upgrade projects
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams for civil, electrical, and mechanical works
- Prepare and monitor facility budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, and utility cost optimization
Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage a team of facility technicians and third-party staff
- Liaise with production, quality, EHS, and admin teams for smooth operations
- Prepare maintenance MIS reports, checklists, and performance dashboards
Candidate Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience: 8 to 15 years in facility and utility maintenance in manufacturing (preferably electronics/automotive/engineering sector)
- Hands-on experience in cleanroom environments, DG, HVAC, BMS, STP/ETP, and EMS systems
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, ISO standards, and industrial safety
- Proficient in vendor management, cost control, and TPM systems
- Good communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
