Job Description

Job Responsibilities:


  • Independently manage end-to-end background verification of all new hires and existing employees.
  • Directly contact previous employers, educational institutions, police departments, and address verification sources to gather and verify information.
  • Perform verification checks including:
  • Previous employment history
  • Educational qualifications
  • Criminal background (police verification)
  • Address verification
  • Reference checks
  • Maintain accurate documentation and verification reports in company records.
  • Escalate any discrepancies, fraud cases, or adverse findings to the HR/Compliance Manager.
  • Ensure strict adherence to timelines (TAT) and compliance processes.
  • Keep verification trackers, employee files, and audit documents well-organized and up to date.
  • Educate the recruitment and onboarding teams on verification guidelines and risk factors.
  • Handle all verification activities without outsourcing to third-party vendors.

Key Skills Required:


  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in in-house background verification or compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various external and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in telephone, email, and official letter communications for verification.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, and digital record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple verifications simultaneously.
  • Awareness of basic employment compliance and data privacy practices.

Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline (B.Com / BBA / BA / B.Sc etc.).
  • Certification in HR Operations, Compliance, or Background Verification (preferred but not mandatory)
