You will be responsible for designing Data Engineering solutions on big data ecosystem, developing custom applications, and modifying existing applications to meet distinct and changing business requirements. This will involve hands-on coding, debugging, documentation, as well as working closely with the SRE team to provide post-implementation and ongoing support. Your role will also include developing and designing software applications, translating user needs into system architecture, assessing and validating application performance, integrating component systems, and providing process flow diagrams. You will be testing the engineering resilience of software and automation tools. You will face the challenge of identifying innovative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of customers. As part of the Loyalty Technology team, you will work on developing a new, nimble, and modern loyalty platform that connects with customers in various ways. Your focus will be on driving engagement and loyalty within the existing cardmember base and attracting new customers to the Amex brand. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will be partnering with other development teams, testing, quality, and production support to meet implementation dates and ensure a smooth transition throughout the development life cycle. The successful candidate will work on building and executing a strategy and roadmap focused on transitioning from monolithic, tightly coupled, batch-based legacy platforms to a loosely coupled, event-driven, microservices-based architecture to achieve long-term business goals.
