- As a Quality Assurance (QA) Team Lead at our IT organization, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the QA processes. Your experience in QA automation, coupled with exceptional leadership skills, will be key in bridging the gap between business and technical requirements. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by leading the QA team in creating, executing, and managing test plans, test cases, and automated testing frameworks. Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. You will manage team workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and identifying training opportunities for team members will also be part of your role. Developing and implementing QA strategies, methodologies, and best practices to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness will be crucial. You will ensure adherence to established QA standards and procedures across the team. Additionally, designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks, as well as identifying opportunities for test automation within the development lifecycle, will be integral to your responsibilities. You will translate business and technical requirements into detailed, actionable test plans and test cases. Coordinating and executing various types of testing, such as functional, integration, regression, performance, and exploratory testing, will be essential. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria will also be part of your role. Identifying, logging, and tracking defects through to resolution, as well as conducting root cause analysis for defects to improve testing processes and product quality, will be important aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, monitoring and reporting on QA metrics, providing regular updates to management on testing progress, risks, and issues, and ensuring clear communication with development teams on defect management will be key in your role. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You should have at least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a minimum of 2 years in a team leadership role. Strong knowledge of software development and QA processes, proficiency in programming languages used for test automation, familiarity with CI/CD tools, and experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments are essential qualifications. Your analytical skills, communication abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail will be critical in this role. Additionally, your proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, along with your ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, will contribute to your success as a QA Team Lead.
