About the Job
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior PHP WordPress Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience (academic or internship) with WordPress and PHP, and a strong understanding of front-end development. Youll be working closely with our design and development teams to bring UI/UX designs to life, customize themes and plugins, and contribute to building responsive, high-performance websites.
Core Responsibilities
- Convert Figma / UI designs into high-quality, responsive WordPress pages using page builders like Divi, Elementor, Avada, or similar tools.
- Customize WordPress themes and templates based on design and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with designers, senior developers, and cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve technical issues.
- Develop or enhance custom WordPress plugins using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress APIs.
- Optimize websites for performance, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ensure consistency in design and user experience across multiple projects and platforms.
- Maintain and update existing websites, perform regular site audits and fixes.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
- Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks and responsive design practices.
- Experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor, Divi, or Avada.
- Ability to debug issues using browser dev tools and logs.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and problem-solving mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Exposure to website deployment, migration, or staging environments.
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills.
