As a Quant Modelling Associate within our Risk Management and Compliance team at JPMorgan Chase, you will have a significant impact on maintaining the strength and resilience of the organization. Your role will involve anticipating emerging risks and utilizing your expertise to address challenges that impact the company, customers, and communities. You will be an integral part of the Model Risk Governance and Review (MRGR) team, which is responsible for independent model review and governance activities to manage Model Risk. The focus will be on valuation and risk-management models within the Corporate & Investment Bank, particularly on Derivatives Instruments that involve complex and advanced modeling techniques. Your key responsibilities will include evaluating the conceptual soundness of model specifications, testing model performance, designing experiments to measure potential impacts, evaluating risks posed by model parameters, documenting model review findings, and providing guidance to stakeholders on model usage. Additionally, you will stay updated on performance testing outcomes, maintain the model inventory and metadata, and keep pace with the latest developments in the coverage area. To qualify for this role, you should have a Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience or a PhD. Proficiency in probability theory, stochastic processes, statistical/economic modeling, and programming languages such as Python, R, Matlab, C++, or others is essential. A strong risk and control mindset, excellent communication skills, and analytical abilities are also required. While knowledge of machine learning is not mandatory, it would be considered a plus for this role.
