- PlanSource is a high-growth software company headquartered in Orlando, Florida with offices in Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids, and Charleston, SC. We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Center of Excellence in the Bangalore India area. As a Senior Software Engineer at PlanSource, you will play a crucial role in our rapid product development pace by contributing to the design, development, and operation of our Ruby on Rails based benefits administration platform. Your responsibilities will include driving new features through the full development cycle, collaborating with team members to manage the development of products and features, translating business requirements into technical specifications, writing and refactoring code, as well as providing application support to our QA/Support staff. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about building leading-edge software, eager to learn new technologies, and motivated to contribute to the success of our SaaS product utilized by numerous businesses. Ideal candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications: - 3+ years of commercial software development experience - Proficiency in at least one technology stack using a modern object-oriented language and 3+ tier architecture - Experience in Ruby on Rails is a must - Familiarity with micro-service architecture is a plus - Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, is advantageous - Expertise in TDD and writing effective unit and integration tests - Solid skills in HTML5, SASS/LESS, and Javascript - Experience with React, Redux, and Bootstrap 3.0 CSS conventions is desirable In addition to technical skills, we value soft skills such as good team interaction, excellent communication, strong analytical abilities, and critical observation.
