Job Description
- You will be responsible for conducting thorough manual and functional testing of web applications and APIs at various stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks for both UI and API layers using tools like Tosca, Selenium, or Cypress. It will be essential to evaluate and recommend test automation tools and frameworks that align with the Woodduck tech stack and integration points such as SAP, Salesforce, and Pricing Analytics. You will need to document and execute detailed test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of application functionality. Utilizing test management tools like JIRA and ALM for tracking and reporting testing progress will be part of your responsibilities. Testing APIs and web services using tools like Postman and Soap UI is also a key aspect of this role. Maintaining a strong attention to detail, demonstrating critical thinking skills, and effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders are essential qualities for this position. You are expected to have strong hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs, proficiency in automation testing frameworks like Selenium, Tosca, or Cypress, and a good understanding of functional testing methodologies to validate business requirements. Familiarity with JavaScript for writing automation scripts or enhancing test cases, experience in API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI, and working knowledge of test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms are required. Exposure to integration points with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or pricing analytics tools will be beneficial. You should be able to design scalable test frameworks and recommend tools suitable for evolving tech stacks. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, are also necessary for this role.
